Play-Based Remote Enrichment to Enhance Development
The Play-Based Remote Enrichment to Enhance Development Program, otherwise known as PRETEND, was developed through collaborative efforts from the research of Dr. Anastasia Dimitropoulos and Dr. Sandra Russ at Case Western Reserve University. The PRETEND Program is an ongoing play project with the ultimate goal of improving social cognition skills through pretend play, which has been evidenced as an effective intervention method for children with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS).
The PRETEND Program Resource Platform was designed to increase the availability of therapeutic resources for families affected by Prader-Willi Syndrome and has goals to improve cognitive flexibility and build socio-emotional skills through parent & facilitator training in play.
PLEASE NOTE: **Account registration & materials for the PRETEND Program Resource Platform are currently only available to PRETEND Focus Group participants. However, we are currenly enrolling for our PRETEND intervention program.
